Elaine Dixon - Chair | | Elaine has over 20 years experience working in mental health settings and is currently Chief Executive of Harp, a voluntary sector organisation supporting people with mental health needs in Manchester. She has worked at Harp for just over 10 years. Prior to this Elaine worked in statutory mental health settings. In her spare time she is an Independent custody visitor and also for the last two years has been a trustee at the Roby- a role she enjoys very much. Harp and the The Roby have a long history of working closely together and she was therefore delighted when she was nominated as Chair at the last AGM.

| | Lois joined the Management Board in the 1990s and has been a major supporter ever since. As a retired health visitor who worked across the local area, Lois has seen the ongoing contribution The Roby makes and continues to make. Having had a full professional career within the local health community, including the establishing of a number of community initiatives Lois has continued her passion by supporting The Roby as Company Secretary. | John works as a lecturer in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work and is a member of the Mental Health Research group in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work. John qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 1995 and completed the B Nurs (hons) at The University of Manchester in 1996. He has worked in a variety of inpatient settings including acute and low secure rehabilitation, during this time he completed a part-time MSc in Psychosocial Interventions at the University of Sheffield. Whilst seconded from clinical practice to The University of Manchester to work on the 'Addressing Acute Concerns Research Project' he completed an MPhil, which lead to the development of the Attitudes Towards Acute Mental Health (ATAMH [33]) scale. In 2003, John was appointed lecturer in Mental Health Nursing. | Jon has worked across a wealth of sectors and industries including public and private health care organisations. In addition to his own limited company 'EBGO GRP', which provides Change Management and Executive Coaching & Mentoring services, he currently works for the Civil Service. Moving into HR from a Operations and Project Management background in the late 1990's, Jon has headed up a number of HR functions within the financial services sector including a pan European AIM listed plc. He has become a HR specialist within Organisational Design, Change Management and Reward & Recognition. | |
