The Roby works to support people who experience mental distress and other forms of social exclusion. We provide direct services, including weekly therapeutic groups and one-to-one counselling and support, and actively campaign to influence policy and improve services in Manchester. The Roby aims to deliver services which are easy to access whilst remaining person-centred in approach. We are committed to user involvement believing people with mental health problems should have the same opportunities available to them as others; we are interested in providing the support and strategies to enable this. By providing empowerment through information and practical support, we believe our service users can lead fuller and more productive lives. The Roby services are designed to promote best practice and to be sensitive to the local needs. In all our work, we are committed to the promotion of equality, independence, dignity, respect and access to care and support for all. |
