The Roby was founded in 1985; we exist to improve mental health, to promote general well-being and to encourage social inclusion in Longsight and surrounding areas in Manchester. We deliver a range of person-centred services, act as a resource for a variety of community groups, campaign on issues relevant to our core approach, offer opportunities for volunteering and work in partnership with other agencies.

The Roby continues to raise the standard of the innovative services it offers, providing socially inclusive spaces, and promoting independence as key to the improvement of personal well-being.

The Roby can help you access further services and information on local services i.e. GPs, community mental health teams and counselling. We are also able to supply resource materials on education groups, employment schemes, voluntary work, social services, drug and alcohol services, support groups and local community facilities.
